Oceanarium

 

Opened in 1998, The Oceanarium is right on the seafront by the Pier at Bournemouth, where you are able to see exhibits and features including :-

Atlantic - See the inhabitants of the North Atlantic.

Mediterranean - Visit the warmer climes.
Ganges River Basin - Flowing from the Himalayas to the Bay of Bengal.
Caspian Sea - East Europen colder waters, perfect for catfish and sturgeon.
Great Barrier Reef - Extending for over 1,250 miles.
Tropical Lagoon Tunnel - Dive down beneath the reef, amongst tropical sharks & colourful fish.
Antartic Ice Shelf - Under the ice
Hawaiian Coral Reef - Living "undersea garden ".

The Oceanarium is deeply concerned for the future of our oceans and seas worldwide, their aim is to raise awareness of the issues facing us. You can find the Oceanarium on the Seafront at Bournemouth by the Pier.
