Guy,

We are hoping to visit your area next summer and have
started making plans. This would be basically a genealogy trip as one of my
ancestors in the early 1800s was James Guy a blacksmith in Slades Basin, Poole.
The problem is that no one seems to have heard of Slades Basin. Has this been
renamed to something else??? Appreciate any help you can give on this.
Guy,
Jospeh
Born around 1799 in Poole, emigrated to Carbonear
Newfoundland with Slade Elson company as a blacksmith. Any info or leads
appreciated.[ Bill Cameron ]
