Every Monday & Wednesday in August

Granny Cousins Ghost Walks. From the 24th July until September 6th, for a stroll with a difference, why not take a Ghost Walk with Granny Cousins (now in its ninth year.)
Visit the spooky nooks and crannies of the ancient, walled fishing town of Poole. Listen to stories of people who worked and haunted Old Poole. Blood Curdling invaders, enraged traders and drunken pirates....Be prepared for anything!

Every Tuesday in August

Condor Ferries Dream Machines . Every Tuesday night from 6pm is "Dream Machine" night, where thousands of motorcycles gather along Poole Quay. Click here for more information.


Every Thursday in August

Summer Breeze on the Beach . Every Thursday night people are guaranteed a great nights entertainment including live music, BBQ's and fireworks. Click here for more information.


Every Friday in August

Coles Miller Quay For My Car . Every Friday night from 6pm is "Quay for my car" night, where collections of different vehicles gather along Poole Quay each Friday. Click here for more information.


Sunday 6th August

Poole Lifeboat Station Open Day, when the Poole Lifeboat Station opens its doors to allow the general public in to have a close look behind the scene of the busiest lifeboat station in the country. There will be lots of rescue demonstrations and side stalls, plenty of refreshments and fun for all the family !!

Both lifeboats will be open for visitors to climb aboard and have a good look inside.

Wednesday 16th - Sunday 20th August

Bladerun Powerboat Rally 2006. There are no prizes for getting in first, rather, there are prizes awarded for people who showed the most spirit, have the most fun, have the fastest boat etc.

There is a great mix of boats from V24's, classic Rivas, zap-cats and the usual array of endurance ribs, sporty Bladerunners, Honda 4 strokes and of course Sunseekers. This range of boats creates a great camaraderie between the entrants who are there because of their love of the sea, boating and simply a great unusual spectacle. The days also offer a full line up of evening entertainment

Sunday 27th - Monday 28th August

Poole Park Fest 06. A free festival of Sport, Leisure and Music running from 11am - 7pm.

A two day event over Sun 27th and Mon 28th August Bank Holiday, hosted by Friends of Poole Park by permission of the Leisure Services Department. In its third year its getting bigger and better! An abundance of Sports and Leisure activities for all ages. Music is provided free of charge thanks to the generosity of Mr Kyps, Poole's Premier Live Music Venue.

Chinese Cookery
Poole Pirates Speedway Bikes
Llyndy Llamas

Attractions include:

Classic Cars
Dance workshops
Yoga demonstrations
Bouncy Castles
